Notan Landscape Exercise, Part II
Today, you are to continue working on your landscape assignment. Remember, I want 2 versions of this landscape design. Place both transfers laid vertically in your sketchbook, one on top of the other. Create a clean graphic sheet. Make sure each design is different and it is not a negative/ positive concept. You will receive more credit if you compose each design to appear as a flat graphic presentation of black set against white and white set against black. Do not break up this flat appearance in any way by adding lines or designs within the outlines. Good Notan design rests on the beautiful placement of the black shapes set in the right relation to the white spaces.
